CHAI HOT CHOCOLATE
I cannot believe that I haven’t thought about this amazing combination before: chai latte + hot chocolate = chai hot chocolate. Chai is a traditional Indian drink made of black tea, spices and milk. By adding some of those spices, the hot chocolate elevates to a whole new level of nourishment and great taste.
The addition of the spices delivers many phytochemicals that work synergistically to promote digestion, boost metabolism, provide antioxidants and add flavour to any dish. Cinnamon helps to maintain blood sugar levels stable, cardamom and ginger aid digestion, allspice add a kick to the mix with extra phytonutrients and antioxidants.
Cacao, on the other hand, provides antioxidants, and nutrients like iron, magnesium and potassium. You might find the word cacao or cocoa interchangeably, just look out for a product that is raw and doesn’t contain any sugar.
